Ramp-up

A phase defined by SAP within the software innovation lifecycle which
starts with the delivery of a new SAP product release to a limited
number of customers, which obtain special care by SAP support until
go-live with the new product. After successful ramp-up of a new
release, the product enters then the mass market shipment phase (also
known as general availability), which ends the ramp-up phase for the
product.
