All complex distributed IT systems have some form of vulnerability which lead to risk exposure – that is a fact of life, however one major SAP Oil & Gas vulnerability can be simply and seamlessly removed through usage of QuantityWare BCS, while bringing additional transparency and GRC benefits to associated SCADA systems (to document).

QuantityWare announces that its BCS Bulk Calculations Solution 21B (CSP 003) has successfully achieved SAP certification for integration with the SAP NetWeaver® technology platform running on SAP HANA®.

QuantityWare prices have been kept stable since their revision in 2011. From October 2015 onward, QuantityWare will increase all product prices by 10% and offer all customers 30% discount on the least expensive supplementary product purchased. Orders placed before 01.10.2015 will be honored at the current pricing levels.

To support the growing adoption of Natural Gas and LNG business processes within SAP Oil & Gas systems, QuantityWare has now released the BCG version of its Test Manual. With around one days effort, a conversion group can be defined via the test cases described in the document. The Test Manuals can be found on our Knowledge Base.

QuantityWare offers free test licenses to prospective customers. In order to provide additional guidance for the 4 week test period, the BCP Test Manual has been released. Within a half-day, configurators can work though the documents’ eight example test cases which define an example reference path for the configuration of one conversion group. ASTM D4311 has been revised and published as ASTM D4311-15. QuantityWare will carefully analyze this new version within the next three months and determine whether a new implementation is required. If so, the new implementation will be part of BCS 3.0 (planned delivery Q3 2016); for customers requesting earlier availability, the new implementation will also be available as an advanced development note, which can then be applied to BCS 10B CSP03 installations.

QuantityWare has released a working paper describing the principles behind, and configuration steps for, BCP usage with the SAP PRA Measurement System. The Working Paper can be found on our Knowledge Base.

The next QuantityWare BCS release will merge the BCS solution technical and product versions, resulting in the name ‘BCS 3.0’.
BCS 3.0 is planned for release in 2016 Q3 and will replace the current maintenance level of BCS 1.0B / CSP03.
BCS 1.0B will no longer be maintained after the release of BCS 3.0. All customers with valid maintenance contracts will be able to migrate to BCS 3.0 for no additional charge.

According to schedule, BCS CSP 03 has been released for download in the DataLounge. All accompanying website documentation has been migrated to the latest version.
