Support package 07 released for BCP 10A on ERP 6.0/ SAP R/3 Enterprise 47×200. This package contains:

  • New U.S. customary units model functions for the new QuantityWare MQCI. These model functions provide accurate non-metric quantity conversions using U.S. customary units instead of SI units.
  • New vapor-to-liquid model functions, which enable vapor space calculations taking into account tank space volume which is occupied by high vapor pressure products as vapor.
  • A full implementation of ASTM D 1550-04(2005) “ASTM Butadiene Measurement Tables”. This implementation includes a “soft” conversion logic for metric (15 °C and 20 °C) base conditions.
  • A new powerful test program /QTYW/IMPLEMENTATION_TEST, which automates installation tests by providing a single, central testing control report.
  • New logic for all MQCI conversion groups allowing the display of volume correction factors (observed to base condition) and densities in air for operators and inspectors. This possibility ensures absolute transparency of the calculation to controlling instances.
  • New customizing possibilities to ensure that productive systems can be easily migrated to the MQCI weight in air /mass calculations.

Support package 06 released for BCP 10A on ERP 6.0/ SAP R/3 Enterprise 47×200. This package contains:

  • The new QuantityWare MQCI,
  • A fully revised ABAP equation-based implementation of the ASTM D1250-80 which calculates identically as the API “C”-routines.
  • A full implementation of DIN 51650 and DIN 51757 (“Y tables”) (“Testing of mineral oils and related products; Determination of density” and “Testing of mineral oils and related products; Determination of quantity”), for Propane, Propene, n-Butane, iso-Butane, cis-2-Butene, trans-2-Butene, 1-Butene, 1,3 Butadiene, Methanol, Ethanol, iso-Propanol, Ethanol, iso-Butanol, MTBE, TAME, Benzene, Toluene, o-Xylene, m-Xylene and p-Xylene. The formula is based on 15 degree Celsius.

The Next Generation. . . DIN 51650

| News

Quantity conversions of bulk products have to be based on national/international standards, which include an exact conversion model defining the sequence of all calculation steps. DIN 51650 describes one of many possible conversion models, which deviates from the standard SAP QCI conversion model.
Within the next BCP SP (SP6, planned delivery Q1 2008), QuantityWare will deliver a new flexible model-based QCI (MQCI), which can be utilized by all BCP customers to perform all defined model based quantity conversion, in parallel to the SAP QCI conversion model.
Owing to a German legal requirement, the first general solution to be delivered will be a conversion model based upon DIN 51650, with an application for products defined in DIN 51757 (“Y tables”). With subsequent SPs, QuantityWare will deliver additional model solutions, based on customer requests.
Implementations for ASTM D 1550 (Butadiene) and ASTM D 2962 (Coal-Tar Pitches) are also planned for delivery with SP6.
