How Much Does QAPI Cost?
Pricing Per Credit
QAPI is cloud-based, and uses credits pricing in line the cloud solutions industry.
Each QAPI calculation performed uses one credit.
Credits are pre-purchased via “credit packs”, and are valid for a specific SAP system. There are five credit packs that can be purchased, with per-credit cost lowering as the credit pack size increases:

NOTE: We provide limited test credits for testing QAPI on non-productive systems.
How Are Credits Obtained?
Credits are purchased and obtained using the QuantityWare Service Portal, via the process described in the document below:

To use QAPI, the target SAP system containing the QAPI client must a valid QAPI Credit Key installed (with credits remaining), alongside a valid BCP and/or BCG Usage Key. This document describes the current process for obtain a QAPI Credit Key. NOTE: The process described is temporary, as part of the QAPI pilot programme, and will be updated in 2026. (9 pages)
What Happens if I Run Out of Credits?
If you do not purchase additional credits prior to credits running out, QAPI will no longer perform calculation calls.
To help prevent this, QAPI will provide a warning in the SAP system log when credits are running low (at 20% remaining, then 10%, 5%, 4% etc).
You can view your remaining credits at any time from within the BCS cockpit screens.
Do the Credits Expire?
QAPI credits are valid until the end of your BCP/BCG annual usage agreement period.
If, at the end of the annual period, the BCP/BCG subscription is continued and additional QAPI credits are purchased, any remaining credits are added to newly purchased credits.
To help prevent expiration, QAPI will provide a warning in the SAP system log when only 60 days remain, then when 30, 10, and 1 days remain.
Are There Additional Costs?
QAPI requires a valid BCS subscription, and an active SAP BTP subscription, both of which incur costs:
- BCP / BCG Usage Key
- A valid BCP or BCG usage key is required for any productive system you connect to with QAPI.

- SAP BTP Subscription
- An active SAP BTP subscription, including Integration Suite, is required to use QAPI.
